IFMGA guide Sherpa said that they reached the summit of Kyajo Ri. “It’s a technical peak located between Thame and Gokyo valleys and we have done it in an alpine style,” the International Mountain Guide said.

“Despite the difficult conditions, Alpinist Climber Expeditions is the only team that has reached the summit of Kyajo Ri this season,” Sherpa said, They spend few days before base camp for acclimatization before they headed for a summit push on Kyajo Ri.

Kyajo Ri is considered as a technical climbing peak in the Everest region. Kyajo Ri has been open for climbing since 2002.

“The climb provides a unique 6000m greater experience because it is one of the least explored peaks in comparison to surrounding peaks,” Sherpa who owns the Alpinist Climber Expeditions said.
